Children Help's Children
Collection project for Danish primary schools - "Children help children":
In Denmark some volunteer schools will be found where all the pupils in the school (1., 2., and 3. grade) have project week for the purpose of collecting money for the vulnerable children in North Korea
1. The Music Team: In this team, the students will write and record their own song, the song will be about our project. There will be both singing and playing on instruments. The song will be turned into a CD.
2. The cooking team: In this team the students have to cook for the other students during the week, the food will be sold in a booth, which they also have to build. All the money they earn will go to the project.
3. The store: In the store students will have to make their own shop, our thoughts are that there will be some chain stores that will donate their stuff, which we can then sell for cheaper money.
4. The recycling store: It´s the same concept as the store, however, all the goods will of course be recycled and are all the students used cases.
5. Show team: On this team the students will have to make a show / theatre performance. They will sell tickets so you can come and see the show.
Our project is called -" Children help children"
The idea of it all is that, on the last day - Friday, there is an open house for all students at the school, parents, siblings, grandparents etc. The food team will make sure that there is delicious food they can buy, you can shop in the shops, you can buy tickets for the show, and of course you can also buy the CD, that the music team has made. The idea is that all the money we earn will be donated to our organization - heal North Korea. In the weeks leading up to the project, the students will be presented with the project, and be invited to provide duties at home for payment, which of course also goes to the project. To keep the students motivated, they will be able to compete against all the other schools that also have the project week, there will be founded a website all the schools every day has to write how much money they have collected. At the end, the school that has collected the most money for the project will win a tour to a playland.
Our goal will of course be to raise money for the children in North Korea. We will try to put Danish children's life into perspective and learn them about other cultures and that it is not a privilege to live the way they do. Hopefully we will motivate them to help other children. We also think that our approach is exciting for the children and we believe that the children in school would look forward to a project week like this. At the same time, we also believe that it is a very educational week for the children.
